Thursday, October 08, 2009 Rage Against the Machine With the New "8-Bot" Mix
What's good party people? Welcome to Fall, when the nights get a little bit cooler, the leaves get a little bit more orange and on the ground, and there's a day devoted to dressing up in cool costumes and drinking a lot.

You know who doesn't care about any of that though? ROBOTS.

Robots can apparently sing now, so it's really only a matter of time before they learn the dance moves we humans bust out in the club. And fatigue and colder weather aren't going to stop them in the least.

With that in mind, I put together a new "8-Bot" mix that will help you keep up with those cybernetic bastards in the upcoming robot / human dance wars. Not really though. I heard a lot of cool songs and remixes this past month that vaguely sounded like they blended rock, hip hop, and electro with the synths from Super Mario Bros 3 and made a mix out of them. If it does help you to outdance a robot, however, then you're completely welcome.

This is 8-Bot.

This is the Tracklist.

  1. Munk -- "Back Down (Cut Copy Jackmaster Remix"
  2. Animal Collective -- "My Girls (Gigamesh 'Proper House' Remix)"
  3. The Hood Internet -- "Cult Logic Forever (Drake vs. Miike Snow)"
  4. Dizzee Rascal feat. Calvin Harris -- "Dance Wiv Me (Shazam Remix)"
  5. Delorean -- "Deli"
  6. Reverend & the Makers -- "Silence is Talking (Alex Metric Remix)"
  7. Radiohead -- "Reckoner (The Twelves Remix)"

That closing track is a birthday shoutout to THOM YORKE, who has recently been jamming with a Nihilist and will be releasing a new album with my favorite band next year. Happy birthday and thanks for the life-changing music, Thom!
